DJT is actively involved in our communities. We strive to make
a difference whether we are fund raising, hosting seminars,
or supporting our business communities. See our list of activities
and calendar below.

Dill, Joyce & Thresher Insurance (DJT) continually strives to make a difference with our community involvement – through fundraising events, hosting of informational seminars, and supporting our fellow businesses.
Paul Mikkelson, President of Dill, Joyce & Thresher Insurance is an avid cyclist. He has participated in events from the Triple By-Pass in Colorado to the Mt. Haleakala ride in Hawaii. He does this not only for his love of cycling, but to raise awareness and money in support of area non-profit agencies who are clients of DJT. He works with agencies by developing custom brochures for each organization, marketing the event and soliciting donations. In 2005, about 30 other cyclists joined Paul as he road across Connecticut. Over $40,000 was raised – all to the benefit of over 20 non-profit clients!
This year, we took Paul’s annual ride to the next level and thank everyone who joined the 2007 Ride Around Connecticut or helped on the Wellness festival.
Next Year's event is scheduled for Saturday June 28th, 2008. Please join us for the 2008 Ride Across Connecticut. Distances range from 100 yards to 100 miles. Over 200 riders are expected!
DJT will also continue the tradition of hosting a Family Wellness Festival. Both events will take place Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the DJT office location in Avon Park North, 19 Ensign Drive, Avon, CT. The event will include massages, blood pressure screenings, food, music, face painting, a moon bounce for the kids, YMCA activities, and much more! Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit our neighbor, the Farmington Valley Arts Center!
